To help you to choose what size is best for you or the person you are buying for please use the size guidelines below, if you have any doubts please contact aaron@luke1977.com. Please take your actual body measurements under your clothes not over your clothes as these will give a more accurate reading. The measurements below are in good old fashioned Imperial inches, yes inches, that’s what most clothes in the UK are measured in, but we have included continental in a few things to try and be a little inclusive.
Firstly raise your arms slightly, no actually first get a tape measure and then measure around the chest area; please make sure you cross over your shoulder blades and the fullest part of your chest, try to keep the tape parallel to the ground. The chest measurement should give you a good indication to your correct size for items like jackets shirts sweats and T’s.

| inches | 36 | 38 | 40 | 42 | 44 | 46 |
When measuring around your neck try and measure the area including the Adams apple only boys have these, if your girlfriend or wife is helping you do this make sure you haven’t been out on the P**s the night before as you don’t want to smell of ale or give her indoors a chance to strangle you. If all goes to plan you will have a measurement like the ones in the list below.

Ok firstly take off the trousers that most look and feels like a similar fabric to the one you are buying please do this in privacy as we don’t want to scare the neighbours.
Then place a tape measure around your waist, do this where the trousers normally sit on your hips, don’t breath in and make out you are thinner than you really are, great for telling the girls and boys but wont be a true reflection of who you are and the new pair wont fit. Don’t measure around the belly button area as you don’t want them to fit like Simon Cow’s. Once you have this measurement you need to find your inside leg, this is where we go back to the pair of trouser that fit you well and you have taken off earlier, it’s a little like Blue Peter this is. Ok get the trousers get the tape measure and measure down the inside seam form the crotch to the bottom hem, this will give you your inside leg measurement. Now not many people have exactly the same inside leg as the companies make, normally 32 is classed as regular and 34 is classed as log and this incorporates 4 foot nothing to 6 foot five so you know where we are coming from. If in doubt go longer and get your mom or the local seamstress to sew them. Why don’t we do more leg lengths you ask, we are not clairvoyant we reply.
